An incident initially thought to be a road accident in Chinhat, Lucknow, was revealed to be a well-planned murder scheme to collect insurance money. The truth about Puja Yadav's death came to light after an insurance company raised suspicions, prompting the police to reinvestigate the case. Puja, aged 28, tragically died on May 20, 2023, after being deliberately run over by a vehicle in Chinhat. Her father-in-law, Ram Milan, had quickly reported it as an accidental death, and the police initially closed the case after filing a chargesheet. However, upon further inquiries by the insurance company, authorities discovered that Puja's death was orchestrated by her in-laws and their associates as part of a plot to cash in on a 50 lakh rupees life insurance policy taken out in her name. The scheme also included obtaining loans and financing vehicles in Puja's name. The investigation revealed that Kuldeep Singh from Barabanki masterminded the murder plan, persuading Ram Milan to orchestrate the marriage of his son Abhishek to Puja with the intention of ultimately killing her for monetary gain. Deepak Verma served as the driver who carried out the fatal act, while lawyer Alok Nigam provided legal advice to ensure the plan's success. Together, they lured Puja to Matiyari on May 19, where she was intentionally killed by a vehicle in a secluded area. Following the insurance company's inquiries, the police reopened the case and uncovered the true motive behind Puja's murder, revealing the extensive financial manipulation involved in the elaborate scheme. The financial aspects were all part of a scheme to benefit from Puja's death. Kuldeep Singh, Deepak Verma, and Alok Nigam have been taken into custody, while authorities are still looking for Puja's husband, Abhishek, and her father-in-law, Ram Milan.
